King Kong was borne of many creators

As big a role as Willis O’Brien played in bringing King Kong to life, an equally and perhaps more important role was played by Merian Cooper. Cooper was in his late Thirties when he first met O’Brien by which time he had already been a fighter, flier, escaped prisoner of war, explorer and filmmaker.
